Third round with orchestra

New in 2020: 3rd final round with orchestra for the categories bachelor and master students:
During the semi final round on Thursday April 16, 3 bachelor and 3 master finalists will be selected who will play the compulsory work on Friday April 17 with the South Netherlands Philharmonic. 
They rehearse with the orchestra Thursday night. The winner in each category plays at the laureate concert on Friday at the end of the day! 

Extra in 2020: piccolo competition for students:
Jeroen D'hoe wrote 'Patchwork' for piccolo and piano (or marimba) especially for this competition. This composition is available at our secretary as a compulsory work for this competition, only if you participate as a piccolo player. The costs are € 22,50. Only after the competition this composition may be played in public. You can look at the excerpt right here.

Again we have a fine line up of adjudicators: Mario Caroli, Ulla Millmann, Aldo Baerten, Carlos Bruneel, Paul Edmund-Davies, Anne-Cathérine Heinzmann, Stephanie Winker, Lelya Bayramogullari and others.
And for piccolo:
Anaïs Benoit, Chris Green, Nicola Mazzanti and Ilonka Kolthof.

Piccolo competitions

Het Benelux Fluitconcours bestaat al sinds 1984, maar in 2020 zijn voor het eerst de piccolospelers aan de beurt!

Speciaal voor dit concours schreef Mathilde Wantenaar de compositie 'La canzone del piccolo uccellino' (Het lied van de kleine vogel) voor piccolo en vibrafoon. Deze compositie is als verplicht werk voor € 17,50 verkrijgbaar bij ons secretariaat. Pas na het concours mag dit werk in het openbaar uitgevoerd worden. Je kunt hier het inkijkexemplaar inzien. 

Tijdens het slotconcert speelt Ilonka Kolthof de officiële wereldpremière van 'La canzone del piccolo uccellino'.

Je kunt meedoen aan het Benelux Fluitconcours als je als amateur piccolo speelt en in de Benelux woont. We hebben een pianist en vibrafoon speler voor je geregeld die je kan begeleiden en met wie je tevoren even kunt oefenen.

Dansthema / Dance theme

Weet jij onze jury om je vingers te winden met een bijzondere performance, kun jij improviseren, acteren of iets anders bijzonders met je fluit? Kortom: heb jij de Flute Factor?
Maak een opname en schrijf je voor 1 januari in voor deze talentenjacht voor fluitisten tussen de 8 en 13 jaar uit binnen- en buitenland. Het centrale thema in 2020 is 'dans'. Onze jury nodigt 20 deelnemers uit voor de grote finale op 19 april 2020 tijdens het 15e Adams Flute Festival in Ittervoort. For whom is the Flute Factor?
Do you have the Flute Factor? Are you able to convince our adjudicators with your special performance? 
Adams Flute Factor is a talent show for all flute players between 8 and 13 years of age. In 2020 we ask you to give an artistic interpretation of the theme 'dance'. Make a recording and complete the online registration form before January 1. Our adjudicators invite 20 participants to the grand final round on April 19, 2020 during the 15th Adams Flute Festival in Ittervoort. 1e Fluitwedstrijd

Het is bijna zo ver: op 9 november doen bijna 40 deelnemers mee aan de 1e regionale fluitwedstrijd.nl in Culemborg voor jongeren (t/m 18 jaar) uit de regio.

Tijdens de wedstrijd hebben de deelnemers 5 minuten de tijd om hun favoriete muziekstuk te laten horen. Tevoren kan er geoefend worden met de pianist. Kijk deze week op de website voor het speelrooster.

Iedereen valt in de prijzen! In de jury zit o.a. Barbara Strijbos van de Marinierskapel.

Rogier de Pijper gaat voor alle deelnemers een leuke workshop verzorgen en flutemotion is aanwezig met leuke gadgets.
